Extend Your Glow with Skincare

Extend Your Glow with Skincare

I am sure for most of you reading this, a few weeks back we were all going through our usual routine without a second thought. For me that involved nursery drop off, very little time to shower and the quickest skincare routine possible so I could focus on my mummy duties as well as the million other little things I have to get done for my two businesses and running my household.

However, life sure found its way of slowing us all down, hasn’t it? We should all be staying at home and with that means a whole lot of time! Now more than ever, we have time to potentially invest more time in our skincare and self-care. I am asked over and over again about my skincare regime, however here it is and NOW more than EVER we have no excuses to missing any of the steps!

AM ROUTINE

Cleansing with Romilly Wilde Light and Energy Serum Cleanser:  Made up of 10 oils and 15 flower and botanical extracts, the balmy texture comes from the Manuka honey giving that nourishing calming effect for rosacea, inflamed skin such as my own. I apply two pumps into the skin, massage over and use a HALO circular mini towel (rinsed with warm water) to take it off.

Tone with Elizé by Rabee Organic Rose Water: This spray is infused with 24k GOLD, you heard me…GOLD (look back on my blog for the glow down on the benefits of rose water). I put a few spritzes over the face and give it time to sink in before applying any other products

Serum #1 - Allies of Skin Vitamin C Collagen Rebuilding Serum: Vitamin C is crucial for my skin type ( we are also getting extreme amounts in our diets right now, the supplement sections of supermarkets were bare up until this week when suppliers could meet the demands) ( Kelly please link to the supplements piece on March 4th) This is my GLOW too serum, even my hubby is loving it, brightens the skin, reduces inflammation.

Serum #2 - Romilly Wilde Active Boost Serum: With its potent antioxidants this is definitely a must all year skin ally - its one of my newest indulgences (its been a week, I do suggest giving it at least 5/6 weeks to see the new benefits of any NEW product you add into your routine) So far so GOOOOOOOD. Loving the automatic nutrient boost I feel when applied on the skin.

Mask with Allies of Skin Daily Pollution Mask: Yes ladies there are Free Radicals in our house, we are not all lucky to live in the countryside and although our cities are getting less polluted due to us all being at home its crucial we have daily protection. I am loving this mask so far, I bought it prior to the lockdown from at Linnaean Living who will start delivering products again mid to end of April.

Final step - Suntegrity Tinted SPF Face Cream: YES, SPF is our BFF even at home, even the sun peaking through our windows, or the UV rays coming over our technology……. SPF is crucial, I love this one because it also has a slight coverage just giving myself a bit more of a GLOW to the skin

TIPS:

- Enjoy using your serums by adding in a little facial massage! Lots of brands are doing tutorials on how to do this online like Face Gym, Dr Barbara Sturm and Romilly Wilde.

- Take your time! Add a few deep breathes and a little bit of me-time - shut the bathroom door and switch off

- Don’t over complicate your routine! LESS IS MORE - simple steps and only use a small amount of product

PM ROUTINE

Cleanse with LA ROCHE POSAY Micellar Water (for sensitive skin): This has always been an ultimate favourite of mine, super clean and not full of nasties, its the best way to wipe of daily grim and/or the makeup/tinted moisturiser you are currently using

Cleanse again with ZELENS CLENSING BALM: I got into this balm when I was rushing off for an extended half term break and didn’t have time to stock up on my usual Romilly. I am absolutely loving it, the blam style cleanser once again is great for my skin that is super susceptible to drying out (being at home in CENTRAL HEATING is the worst) so these type of products are crucial for me at the moment. I apply a few pumps, massage it through and then takeoff with my Halo pad.

Tone with Elizé by Rabee Organic Rose Water: REPEAT. You really cannot get enough of this product, all day, every day!

CLARY COLLECTION Repair + Renewal Serum: Made with 7 natural ingredients this serum helps to calm my skin after all that vigorous work out regimes I keep doing…. Eeeeek. I feel like I get enough good night and moisture from this to skip the active boost serum (moisturiser).

FRESH Rose Eye Gel Cream: I’m new to eye cream, I will be honest, I always believed they were just a marketing fad….a way to make us buy more beauty products, I do believe with a good serum, it gets absorbed into the skin where it needs…. However, I thought I would indulge and as I have the time I can enjoy applying some rose-infused eye cream and give myself a little massage.

Finally, ALLIES OF SKIN PROMISE KEEPER BLEMISH SLEEPING FACIAL: The dream for those new blemishes popping up on my chin due to the overindulgence most nights while watching Netflix…. hehe.

TIPS:

- Never forget to take off all your makeup (although that might not be that difficult at the moment, I know I’ve barely had a stitch of makeup on for weeks!)

- So important to give yourself a good cleanse to wash away daily grime.

- Use something nourishing for overnight (boosting collagen production).

ADD ONS:

LUNEIA RADIANCE RITUAL Smooth, Refine, Exfoliate - this is great once or twice a week, due to personally what’s going on with my skin (inflammation and flare-ups).

CODAGE Micro-peel Mask: Once a week, it became my Sunday evening routine, love the gel texture and it’s not too reactive on my face.

Romilly Wilde Light and Energy Serum Cleanser: Doubles up as a mask! Love to use this around the house, while I am cooking dinner or after my first cleanse in the AM I decide re-apply and leave for 20 minutes for extra hydration for the day.

I hope this list helps, I absolutely love the beauty community and enjoy helping others with finding products they want to try and interested in buying. I don’t make money from this blog, I do it for sharing what I love, I don’t get paid by the brands because while I respect other influencers out there, I’m focused on providing my unbiased opinion that isn’t swayed by advertising dollars.
