The Glow Down on The Cellulite Slayer

The Glow Down on The Cellulite Slayer

I have to be honest, before visiting The Cellulite Slayer (obsessed with the name!) I was skeptical about massages known to tighten and reduce cellulite. I thought it was the easy way out rather than intense gym sessions and mindful eating. However, after 6 weeks and 6 sessions I can truly say I was wrong. Yes, with a well-balanced diet and my usual gym routine, my cellulite on the back of my legs reduced, I had lost weight and more interestingly I didn’t get those achy legs when I was tired as the circulation in my legs had certainly improved. My skin also felt great, hydrated and healthy! This was the result of the magical hands of Tetyana Probby-Holoava, the creator of The Cellulite Slayer.

The choice of massage techniques is tailored to every client’s needs, for me it was her signature treatment: a combination of lymphatic drainage, cupping and deep tissue massage that helped lift and sculpt my legs and derriere. After my first session, I had learned that I would be spending the Christmas holidays in Dubai meaning the dreaded bikini season was here for me! I was told to follow a few golden rules to maximise the results of the massages.

  1. Reduce Salt Intake - so much food we eat out has lots of hidden salt so for safety, no adding salt into your food…… this rule was exceptionally hard for me!

  2. Give up those empty calories - Buh-bye oat milk lattes, hello Americanos. I actually skipped coffee altogether but for those that can’t go without their caffeine fix, Americanos all the way.

  3. Drink Lots of Water - This is something any glow getter knows is essential to keeping healthy, hydrated skin. Done and done!

So what did my one-hour sessions look like? For my treatments, my legs were the main concentration followed by a good 10-minute abdominal massage…something I haven’t always been a fan of, it always seemed to feel funny, but apparently is key for a full body detoxification and increasing blood flow to the organs to help digestion. Also for Mrs. Emotional (aka me), Tetyana said "We store emotional issues, stress and anxiety in our abdomen and by relieving the tension in that area, a lot of stress and anxiety is relieved too,” so not only was I getting a slimming massage but also a place to get rid of some emotional baggage and time to relax and unwind which in itself assists with GLOWING SKIN

It is a true hour of heaven (with a little bit of pain) I think the manual massage tends to be more painful than the cupping. She even has a great blue light facial machine, 10 minutes of calming the skin, and for my fellow mums it was super easy to bring Mouse during a session when she couldn’t go to nursery one morning. She slays cellulite along with bringing an array of health benefits through a range of massage techniques that are truly tailored to every client and their goals. I am now doing a session every 2-3 weeks and I highly recommend this program for everyone!
